The Project: iHAB – A Game Changer for Marine Research

The team's project, iHAB, is a web application tool designed to predict and analyze the growth of harmful algal blooms (HABs) in the Malaysian ocean. HABs pose significant threats to marine life, the fishing industry, and coastal communities, making early detection and effective management critical. iHAB aims to solve this problem by offering predictive insights and data analysis for better prevention and mitigation strategies.

But iHAB doesn’t stop there! It goes beyond HABs by centralizing and analyzing a wide range of marine data, offering predictions that benefit the broader marine research community. The tool is not only a technological marvel but also a crucial resource for researchers and conservationists working to protect marine ecosystems.
